- Radar's letter home recounts the latest round of foot inspections, and how Colonel Potter's wife's premonition of bad luck comes to fruition.
- This time, it is Radar writing home to his Ma. Radar is helping with company foot inspections (20,000 toes) and Potter gets a 100% rating. Radar compares Potter to the man he thinks his own father might have been, had he not died. Radar thinks his Ma would get a kick out of Klinger, too. Clean-cut BJ is a soft touch with an apple pie face and a big heart. Radar gets a guinea pig for a pet and he encounters a North Korean sniper with a Russian gun in the Mess tent. Col. Potter and Hotlips take off for Kha Doc to treat the old and sick. Mrs. Potter calls him just after he leaves; she had a premonition that something would happen to the Colonel. Radar thinks his Ma would really like crazy Hawkeye, who is so smart and a great doctor, but who often does things like gluing Frank's boots to two bedpans after having to amputate a soldier's leg. Margaret comes tearing into camp with an injured Colonel; Potter compliments her by comparing her with his Mildred, who he says is equally unruffled and calm in a crisis. The Colonel was shot in his rear echelon, but he still watches his surgery with a mirror in one hand and a phone to Mildred in the other. BJ's con artist patient returns for more surgery. When Hawkeye does the last foot inspection, he finds a pair of male feet with glossy nail polish...and they do not belong to Klinger!—LA-Lawyer
- This time, it is Radar writing home to his Ma. Radar is helping with company foot inspections (20,000 toes) and Potter gets a 100% rating (even though his toes are a bit ticklish.. Potter learns about foot-care in WW 1 from Harry S Truman, no less). Radar compares Potter to the man he thinks his own father might have been, had he not died. Radar thinks his Ma would get a kick out of Klinger, who is bucking for a section 8 discharge by always wearing women's dresses.
Clean-cut BJ is a soft touch with an apple pie face and a big heart. A solider Sgt Callan (Redmond Gleeson) sells BJ his watch (which he claims he bought for $150), so that he could pay for his wife's operation back home which she needs to have right away. BJ gives him $20 for it. Hawkeye tells him later that this is a common scam amongst the enlisted men.
Radar thinks his Ma would really like crazy Hawkeye, who is so smart and a great doctor, but who often does things like gluing Frank's boots to two bedpans after having to amputate a soldier's leg. Hawkeye is in charge of the foot inspections and teases Margaret (about having fungus, a bunion and 2 corns) when it is her turn. Margaret realizes that her buttons were put up wrong, which meant everyone knew that she and Frank were canoodling around before Hawkeye came in for the inspection. When Hawkeye does the last foot inspection, he finds a pair of male feet with glossy nail polish...and they do not belong to Klinger! Frank had been avoiding the foot inspection as Margaret had recently painted his toenails. BJ and Hawkeye had to jump him and forcefully look at his toes before completing their inspection for the unit.
Radar gets a guinea pig for a pet and he encounters a North Korean sniper with a Russian gun in the Mess tent. The sniper was simply helping himself to lunch without anyone noticing him. He runs into Frank while he runs after the North Korean sniper, and ruins Frank's shirt. Radar tells him about the North Korean sniper with a Russian gun in the mess tent. Later a South Korean General visits the mess tent escorted by BJ and Frank jumps him thinking he is the sniper from the North.
Col. Potter and Hotlips take off for Kha Doc to treat the old and sick. Mrs. Potter calls him just after he leaves; she had a premonition that something would happen to the Colonel. BJ pretends to do surgery on him with rusted instruments to teach him a lesson.
