I want him dead
kapelusznik1810 September 2014
***SPOILERS***It's when a 20 dollar bill turns up in The Bank of Chicago that caused bells start to ring when it's discovered that it was part of ransom in a kidnap murder case some ten years ago. This has bank inspector John "Spice of Life" Spicer, Mike Road, start to sweat bullets in that he was involved in the crime that can now send him straight to the Federal electric chair. It's bank executive Paul Maitland, James Flavin, who was laundering the ransom money who was later murdered by six foot five karate expert Coskie, Paul Mazurki, to both keep him from talking to the police, and save his and Spicer's hide. As well as first have him return the ransom money to Spicer so it can't be traced back to him.

It was the drunk Maitland date blond Kitty Osborne,Judy Bamber, who was at the scene of his murder who took a 20 dollar bill from his suitcase who's now the target of both Spicer and the Chicago police in it being able to finally solve the ten year old murder/kidnap case. Let. Det. Frank Ballinger, Lee Marvin, starts to uncover a web of mystery and murder in realizing that Maitland murder and the unsolved kidnapping are somehow connected. It's when Ballinger realizes that Coskie is a karate expert who for some reason likes what he does, breaks bones , it dawns on him that the big fellow karate chopped Maitland to death with his hands not a pipe as his autopsy later reviled.

***SPOILERS*** It's the missing 20 dollar bill that Kitty has that can tie all the loose ends in this case together and it's Spicer and his strong arm man Coskie who want to make sure she'll never live long enough to get it to the police to do it. Ballinger in him later in the episode slugging it out with Coskie had to use his hand-cuffs, as brass knuckles, to subdue the big gorilla. Sure it wasn't a fair fight but in this case it was the only way he cold take Coskie out without him having his skull fractured.
