Where's my Baby!
kapelusznik1829 July 2014
***SPOILERS*** We get to see the both tender and gentle side of tough Let. Det. Frank Ballinger, Lee Marvin, as he tries to coax two year old Ann, Judith Paige, to eat her baby formula by feeding it to her Teddy Bear and almost having it spilled on his suit. And there's the ending when Ballinger true to form has it out with on the lamb murderer Art Brunswick, Rayford Barneds, in a violent knock down drag out slug-fest that would even rival the first Mohammad Ali Joe Frazier "Fight of the Century".

It's Ballinger who's on the case of the murder of car garage owner Larry Coleman's, David Leland, who then gets himself involved in a child custody case that involves Coleman's wife , Gail Kobe, whom her husband's killer Bronswick claimed to be her adopted daughter Ann's father. When confronted by Coleman with evidence that he isn't, baby Ann's father who was killed a week after she was born, that Brunswick suddenly freaked out and blasted him with three shots from his .38 revolver killing him. Ballinger trying to get mother & daughter together in fact has Mrs. Coleman's daughter taken away from her by the state Child Protection Services in that she's not her biological mother making things worse instead of better for the grieving, in her husband's murder, woman.

***SPOILERS*** With first things first Let. Det. Ballinger tracks down Brunswick at his car garage that leads to the wild and spectacular battle between the two that has Ballinger, after taking a couple of good knocks by him, finally subdue the crazed and deranged mechanic. There's a good ending to all this with Mrs. Coleman finally getting custody, with Ballinger's help, of Baby Ann after it's proved that she's more then fit as a mother to adopt her. As for Ballinger after doing his good deed for the day or "M Squad" episode he's back on his beat dealing with the things, like murder rape & robberies, that he's so well accustom too.
