Storyline

The Virgin Islands serve as a backdrop for the Grand Prix Wine-Tasting Competition, whose winner receives a $25,000 prize. Judge Alan Curtis (Robert Guillaume) starts a shipboard fling with Marion Blake (Leslie Uggams), without getting to know her well. Julie's Aunt Sylvia Duvall (Carol Channing) is on the cruise with her friend, Betsy Boucher (Betty White). Their scheme is for Betsy to meet the wine competition's sponsor Elliott Banning (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.), marry him, and become a wealthy bride. But their efforts may be in jeopardy due to Sylvia's well-intentioned bumbling. Also among the judges is snobbish judge Vincent Van Durling (Lee Bergere), who seems like a front-runner for the grand prize. Annie and Kevin Butler (Tanya Tucker and Michael Goodwin) obtain a quickie divorce each year because filing their income tax as a married couple puts them in a higher tax bracket. "Two Grapes on the Vine / Aunt Sylvia / Deductible Divorce" is the second episode of the fifth season of The Love Boat.

The guest stars that appears include Lee Bergere as Vince Van Darling, Carol Channing as Aunt Sylvia, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. as Elliott Banning, Michael Goodwin as Kevin Butler, Robert Guillaume as Allan Curtis, Tanya Tucker as Annie Butler, Leslie Uggams as Marion Blake, Robert Walden as Jeff Thatcher, and Betty White as Betsy.

A wine-tasting competition is held in the Virgin Islands.The aunt of Julie helps her friend make up a scheme to snag a wealthy sponsor from the contest.Meanwhile,a judge starts a fling with fellow passenger despite not knowing his partner well.We also meet a married couple who gets a divorce yearly to avoid paying too much taxes.Finally,Vicki has her attraction towards a football player.

This was another solid episode for the fifth season after the first one wherein Julie is preparing to get married.The appearance to Douglas Fairbanks,Jr and Betty White did help a lot.
