Storyline

Singer Danny Shoenfield, née Fields (Donny Osmond), thinks his hillbilly relatives (Richard Paul, Marion Ross, Slim Pickens and Loni Anderson) will ruin his chances of impressing talent scout Steve Sorrell (Rich Little), who becomes attracted to Danny's sister Kitty (Loni Anderson). Kitty doubts her commitment to her fiancé (Randall Carver). An author (Eve Arden) pictures the Shoenfield family as potential characters for her next book and poses as a mountain woman to get the grandfather (Slim Pickens) to open to her. Doc, Isaac, and Gopher's (Bernie Kopell, Ted Lange and Fred Grandy) cabins get flooded, so they bunk with Stubing (Gavin McLeod) temporarily, keep him awake at night, and annoy him incessantly. Two couples (Denise Nicholas and Robert Guillaume, and Pam Grier and Richard Roundtree) cruise together and one wife (Denise Nicholas) tries to convince the other husband (Richard Roundtree) that their spouses are having an affair. 4 October 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

"The Kinfolk / Sis and the Slicker / Moonlight and Moonshine / Affair – Part 1" is the first part of the sixteenth episode of the third season of The Love Boat.Donny Osmond,Robert Guillaume, Pam Grier together with Loni Anderson, Eve Arden, Rich Little, Slim Pickens, Marion Ross, Richard Paul, Richard Roundtree, and Denise Nicholas appear as guest stars.

In this cruise of the Pacific Princess,a singer becomes worried that his hillbilly relatives are going to embarrass him and this will hurt his chances of catching a records producer's attention, who happens to be a passenger and becomes attracted to the singer's sister. The said sister is currently in doubt of his boyfriend's commitment back home.Meanwhile,Doc,Isaac and Gopher shares room with the Captain after their respective rooms got flooded which becomes a burden for him. Finally, two couples take the cruise together with one of the woman tried to convince that her friend that their spouses are having an affair.

After having Sonny Bono in the previous episode,it is interesting to see another singer in Donny Osmond appear as guest in it.Also,it was interesting to see Loni Anderson as well.
