Goofs

During Al Breyer's magic act he brings Julie onto the stage to help him with an illusion. He asks Julie how tall she is; she replies, "about five foot six." Breyer then replies that she's about to be "two foot nine and two foot nine" because he's going to saw her in half. If Breyer were to saw Julie into two equal 2'9" halves, she would be 5'8" tall, not 5'6". See more »

Gopher's Dilemma
4 September 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

"Gopher's Opportunity / The Switch / Home Sweet Home" is the fifteenth episode of the second season of The Love Boat. Guest stars in it includes Elaine Joyce, Melinda Naud, Ron Palillo, Bobby Van, Abe Vigoda, Nancy Walker and Michael Gregory.

In this particular cruise,we meet Gopher and his friend who offers him a great opportunity of working at a plush hotel at Lake Havasu in Arizona. He carefully considers it after he got into an argument with Captain Stubing. Also,we meet a magician's assistant who got upset and asked his brother to replace him in the next performance. Finally,a romantic interlude is about to happen between a dowager and a cabin steward.

It was nice to see an episode that involves Gopher for a change instead of relegating him in the sidelines with episode focused mostly on Captain Stubing,Doc and Julie.Fred Grandy is lovable and admirable as Gopher.
