Doc And His Former Wife
3 September 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

My Sister, Irene/The 'Now' Marriage/Second Time Around is the fourteenth episode of the second season of The Love Boat. The guest stars appearing in it are Ray Bolger, Phyllis Davis, Tina Louise, Peter Marshall, Martha Raye, Barbara Rush and Lyle Waggoner.

During the cruise,we get to see one of Doc's former wives who tries to romance him back by hiring an actor to pose as his fiancé to make him envy.Meanwhile,a female passenger tries to disguise herself as her sister in order to avoid a former lover. Finally,an author tries to apply the philosophies and way of life he tries to push forward during his recent work.

Once again,we get to see the Doc get involved with another woman which we will often see in future episodes as it tries to portray him as a heartthrob womanizer. As for the other stories, they barely elicit any laughter by today's standards only showing that the show is definitely dated and won't hold up to today's standards.
