A Japanese businessman pays for widowed Celia Hoffman (Jean Marsh) and her daughter Joanie (Nancy Morgan) to travel to Japan, because they own some embroidered silk artwork that contains one third of a treasure map. "When Worlds Collide/The Captain and the Geisha/The Lottery Winners/ The Emperor's Fortune – Part 1" is the first part of the sixth episode of the seventh season of The Love Boat. The actors and actresses appearing on this episode are Tony Danza,Mariette Hartley, Ted Knight,Harvey Korman,Jean Marsh,Rita Moreno,Nancy Morgan,John Ritter,James Shigeta and Heather Thomas.

The Pacific Princess is headed towards Japan.Once again,we are treated to a lot of interesting passengers on it.First,we meet a photographer Lila Pearsell, who has an attitude of prejudice towards the Japanese after her father got crippled when he served in Japan back in World War II.She falls for another passenger who happens work as a businessman and apparently whose father is a Japanese.Meanwhile,Martha Chambers,a teacher of Asian history,is trying to pose as a geisha girl named Myoshi in order to get close to the Captain. Also,a dockworker Barney and his wife are trying to brag the $5 million they won in a lottery and it has made the crew of the ship uncomfortable.Added to that,a businessman who pays for a widow and her daughter to go to Japan because they own some embroidered silk artwork that contains a treasure map.It was later known that the two women befriended a male passengers

  • Harvey and Ben - who has the other pieces of the map.

This definitely has a lot of interesting guest stars that includes Tony Danza and John Ritter - two most popular TV actors back then together with Rita Moreno, who was the star of the hit classic "The West Side Story".Added to that,we also get to meet a lot of characters such as prejudiced woman,a teacher trying to get close to the Captain,a couple trying to display their money and treasure hunters trying to locate a map.Let's see how the story concludes in the second part.
