Captain Stubing Being Considered For Another Ship
5 September 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

"Best of Friends / Aftermath / Dream Boat" is the eighteenth episode of the second season of The Love Boat.Guest stars appearing here are Richard Anderson, Joyce Brothers, Hans Conried, Carol Lynley, Diana Muldaur, Ben Murphy, Donna Pescow, Mary Farrell and Starr Hester.

Many crew members of the Pacific Princess were surprised to learn that Captain Stubing is being considered to take over a prestigious cruise ship named Lorelei after he met with its representative. He apparently was evaluated for a possible Captain position.Meanwhile,Doc met his former mentor and disapproves of his methods in medicine particularly the use of painkillers not realizing that his mentor's wife is apparently addicted to it.Finally,we get to see a woman who accidentally made a date with the friend's fiancé.

Except for the Captain's storyline, there is nothing really much more interesting in this episode. While the storyline of Doc could have been made better,it was a relief that it wasn't another romantic interlude that viewers are already seeing a lot of.
