Storyline

A psychiatrist (Richard Deacon), who specializes in group therapy, comes on board for a little vacation but one of his groups joins him. And they still want him to help them. And when two of them (Elaine Joyce and Jerry Van Dyke) become attracted to each other, they don't know what to do. An actor (Tristan Rogers) runs into the writer of a soap (Susan Lucci), who rejected him. And, she wonders if he has something up his sleeve. And Doc's girlfriend (Michelle Phillips) joins him, as does his nephew (Willie Aames) and he makes a move on her, prompting Doc to challenge him. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

"The Groupies / The Audition / Doc's Nephew" is the 5th episode of the sixth season of The Love Boat. The guest stars that are appearing on it are Willie Aames, Morey Amsterdam, Richard Deacon, Elaine Joyce, Susan Lucci, Rose Marie, Michelle Phillips, Tristan Rogers and Jerry Van Dyke.

The Pacific Princess in on another cruise once again and we get to meet interesting difference passengers on board.A psychiatrist who specializes on group therapies goes on board for vacation.But it surprises him when one of his groups are actually on board as well and would require him to conduct some therapy.Then things got more complicated when two members of the group got attracted to each other.Then,we meet an actor who meets a writer of a soap opera who has rejected him.The actor tries to show something out his talent to the soap writer.Finally,Doc's girlfriend joins him and so does his nephew,who makes a move on her. This prompted Doc to challenge his nephew about it.

This episode has a lot of guest stars that are popular thespians on TV.We have Susan Lucci,who happens to be a mainstay of All My Children, and Michelle Philips, a mainstay of Knot Landing.Added to that,we also have Tristan Rogers,who used to be a mainstay of General Hospital as well as Young And The Restless.They all did well in this particular episode of The Love Boat.
