Definition Of The Word Comedy: The Golden Man
5 October 2006 | by See all my reviews

Penny forms a friendship with an ugly frog-faced alien.

From the moment we see The Golden Man appear with a bang of fireworks, this hour is a scream! His straight manner is in contrast to the silly golden costume and exploding beach balls. What a great show!

Even silly old Dr Smith is a scream, look at the bit where Frog-face and Golden Man stand together at the Robinson camp, Frog-face is talking away and Smith gives him this bitchy dirty look. Smith is also funny when he drops the guns as he is walking down the ramp. The Robot gets into the act when he has memory problems - "The gentleman and I have never met".

The out-of-this-world sounding voice of Ran Gans is so right for Frog-face.

I don't normally like it when LIS gets this silly....but I love this hour!
