A western specialist directed this one, Allen H Miner, mostly TV industry oriented. The first part is well done but nearly a cliché for the genre. This story is character study focused on, relationship between them, as the Budd Boetticher's westerns were too. That what makes the particularity of this show after all. Female character is most interesting,touching. Very few action sequences but, in this kind of story, even for a western, who cares? Here again, the last lines of dialogue are the best of the story.
