Trivia:

When Lois pressed a button on the remote control in Garret Grady's office, a shelf extended and a synthetic voice said, "Holodeck active". This is a clear reference to the actor who played Garret Grady, Dwight Schultz, in a earlier and longer-lived role, that of Lt. Reginald Barclay on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987) where his activities frequently (usually) centered on the use of, or misuse of, the holodeck.
