A Very Memorable Episode!
12 March 2013 | by See all my reviews

This is the first episode we see with the Edwards as a married couple raising three kids. This episode focuses on the oldest child, John Jr. and Isiah as they learn to become father and son. It's John's birthday and everybody wants to get him the best thing. Mr. Edwards get's tired of seeing John just sitting around reading and longs to do the things with him any father would.

He schedules a hunting trip. John has let both his Ma and Pa know how he feels about hunting - he doesn't like it. But Isiah just won't listen. He longs to have John be the son he's always wanted.

His forcing hunting on John gets him into trouble when a bear attacks him. Earlier that morning, John had given Isiah a letter explaining his feelings, but Isiah just pretended to read it then stuffed it in his pocket. we soon learn why. John is overcome by guilt because he feels he's not normal.

I won't give the ending away, but get your tissues ready because it's a tear jerker! This really brings father and son close together.
