Storyline

Bird lover Waldo Bryan leaves behind his big city art career to live in the country. His wife, Adele, has turned hateful, angry that he made her give up the city life. To get even, she lets Waldo's beloved parakeet out of it's cage to be killed by her cat. The birds outside seem to know of Adele's evil deed and turn on her, turning her into the caged one. One more reason to be nice to birds!
10 December 2012 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

"Lights Out" is a highly uneven horror anthology series from the earliest days of American television. A few episodes are great, a few stink (perhaps more than a few) and a few are pretty average (including this one). If you are interested in seeing them, go to archive.org where you can download many of them for free.

John Forsythe stars as a guy who just adores birds. He is an expert at drawing them, has one for a pet and is careful to keep a bell on his cat's neck to protect the birds outside. However, his wife Adele is a shrewish 'lady' who is only interested in two things--money and making her husband miserable. So, to hurt him, she lets the cat loose without its collar and lets the bird out of its cage. Soon, however, she gets more than she bargained for when all the neighborhood birds all begin to hate her.

"The Angry Birds" is a decent show. The idea is quite good but it could have been better. Instead of SHOWING birds, they just play sound effects of lots of birds--which is a bit cheesy. Still, it's not bad and worth a look.
