In Tombstone he finds Virgil waiting for him with the news that Morgan has taken up gambling. Wyatt initially blows it off as gambling is so common; only interested in how much Morgan has lost. However, Morgan is on a winning streak of $10,000 and a diamond ring. Doc Holliday says it started with a streak of luck with him. Morgan gives up his deputy job with plans to have his own casino. Wyatt decides to bring in a card mechanic friend Ace Hudson from Dodge City to break the streak. Ace arrives and agrees to break Morgan for ten percent of what he wins. They make up a story that Virgil lost his ranch to Ace which pushes Morgan to enter a game with Ace and two other men. In an hour Morgan is cleaned out but where is Ace and his two friends?
