Storyline

The Wells Fargo Company asks Wyatt Earp to help them protect the shipment of silver ingots from stagecoach robbers on their Charleston-to-Benson line. They are taking over the route from Sandy Bottoms Stage Line who had nine holdups in one month. Earp asks an undercover agent Fred for some advice which he gets. Earp and Thacker of Wells Fargo visit Charles Dakin to ask him to change from 85 pound to 300 pound ingots. The thieves won't be able to carry the bars on horses and a wagon will be easy to track. Earp, Shotgun, and Thacker watch the stage being held up but the robbers are forced to bury the crates and return with hammers and chisels to break up the ingots. Earp is sure that the robberies are staged by an organized gang of thieves who have inside information regarding shipments and is setting a trap for the criminals which includes a surprise catch.
