With Earp often around for luck as his only friend Doc Holliday hits a lucky streak at the gambling tables. He wins nearly $15,000. After saving his life an old prospector gives Doc a tip on a silver mine. With his extended lucky streak, he doubles his money almost over night on the mine. He puts the $30,000 into railroad stock which splits the stock three for one raising Doc's funds to $90,000. Earp has been after Doc to invest his money wisely but he hears from Shotgun that Doc has bought the American Hotel. He is renaming it the Holliday House and converting it to a high class hotel with the help of two employees - Mrs. Stoney and Emile. He has ordered expensive furnishings to outfit the hotel. While called to Earp's office to identify three men caught around the Wells Fargo office, Doc's safe is blown and his remaining $40,000 stolen. The men he clears spot two Easterners on the street who start shooting when the two cowboys try to talk to them. Earp finds they have the explosives... Written by Anonymous
