George Morris confronts Professor Jordan in the streets of Dodge City wanting his $100 back he paid to be in a historical book. At the Marshal's office Jordan doesn't have the money but Doc Holliday pays Morris. In return he asks Jordan who is more of a fraud to create a book about the founders of Dodge City. Jordan is to take the photos but Doc insists on writing the histories of each person to which Jordan agrees. Doc fronts Jordan $10,000 for his effort and Jordan can keep any profits over the $10,000. Earp tries to stop Doc but Judge Tobin has no grounds on which to act since no crime has been committed. People starting with Mayor Kelley and the banker sign up in force. Doc warns Earp that Morris who has fought Earp in the past will come after Earp with other founding fathers behind him and pushes Earp to leave with Doc for Arizona. Earp realizing trouble is ahead arrests Doc but when the people read Doc's "writings", a mob erupts behind Morris putting Earp in a bind to stops ... Written by

As Marshal Earl discovered, a prospective history of Dodge City led to bitterness, gun fighting, riot, and death.
