Next to Doc Holliday, the outlaw Ben Thompson was probably the sorest trial to Marshal Wyatt Earp. Ben always insisted that he loved Wyatt like a brother. But according to Ben's curious code, this gave him the right to call on Wyatt for help on a personal matter not concerned with breaking the law. One day, in 1878, Wyatt found himself in a real mess with Ben Thompson, Doc Holliday, and two angry women.
