Younger brother Morgan Earp has been a deputy for Wyatt Earp for a month but Wyatt is about to send him packing. Morgan likes to drink, the women, and hanging with Doc Holliday in the saloons. After he and Doc's involvement in a shootout, Wyatt has had enough. His "big brothering" of Morgan causes friction between them. Wyatt decides a nice wife would go far in settling down Morgan. Although Morgan likes the saloon women, Wyatt has someone like the clerk Lucy Tedder at the Emporium in mind but Doc suggests making her "forbidden fruit" is more likely to attract Morgan. It works so well that within a week Morgan wants to marry Lucy who is considering it as Morgan sends for Virgil Earp to be best man. Besides Shotgun's Roscoe not liking her, Doc overhears she may have ties to the Clanton gang via the McLowery boys. Earp decides to go straight to Old Man Clanton and the information he later gives is not good. Has Wyatt interfered too much to fix it? Written by
