Reruns of this show was available when I was a small child back in the late 50s and early 60s. I tried watching, but I couldn't follow the stories, although I was a fan of adult shows like the "Twilight Zone," "77 Sunset Strip," "Maverick." "I Love Lucy," and "I Married Joan" around this time.
The debut episode is a kind of light screwball comedy with a newly married woman meeting the snobby, rich family of her husband.
The show seems to have been conceived as Loretta giving advice to her adoring female fans. It celebrates the Golden Age of Hollywood Movies of the 20s, 30s and 40s, just as that Golden Age was passing.
I've seen later episodes from different seasons and it developed into a quite fine dramatic anthology series. It is fascinating to watch how it began.
I recommend it for fans of Loretta Young who became a big Hollywood star in the early 1930s. This show was her great second act in her career.
