In the beginning of this episode, when the gang was playing street ball, while Eddie's up at bat, you can see a short palm tree in front of a house in the background. This might indicate that the neighborhood is in a temperate area (such as the American Southwest), rather than the Midwest, as speculated elsewhere. (The series was filmed in the Los Angeles, California, area. The baseball scene was filmed on the backlot of Republic Studios.)
The practice in television in the 1950s was to avoid showing real U.S. currency onscreen. When the boys are counting the money needed to fix the broken window, the bills seen on the table are "Estado de Sonora" (Mexico) one-peso bills from 1915 (Pick catalog s1071). The same variety of currency is seen in some other episodes where money is handled (e.g., The Perfume Salesmen (1957)).
This is the second and last time Willis Cornelius and the actor who played him, Charles Davis, appears in the series. The first time was earlier in the season in Part-Time Genius (1958).
