When Beaver buys a wrecked 'coaster car' from Eddie Haskell, Wally pitches in to help his little brother fix it up and school chum Penny Woods promises him the wheels from her old doll buggy. But Beaver forgets his tools when he goes to Penny's house to remove the wheels and panics when he runs into his best friends, Gilbert and Richard, while trying to sneak the buggy home.- Written by shepherd1138
Beaver has bought an old frame of a coaster from Eddie that Eddie originally built. Beaver paid $2 for it despite it having seen a few too many crashes in its day. True to his word to his father, Beaver, with Wally's help, is diligent about fixing up the coaster back to working condition. Some parts that are missing are all four tires and their frames. These seem to be in short supply in town ever since Beaver mentioned to his friends that he was working on this project, which made them also want to build coasters. But Beaver knows of a set of four tires that are on Penny Woods' old doll carriage, which he's pretty sure she'll give to him. She does, and is even nice in the process. But Beaver, neglecting to bring any tools with him, has to wheel the entire carriage home. Wally, who is aware that Beaver has no tools, goes out looking for his little brother, as he fears that if anyone sees him, especially bigger or older boys, they'll clobber Beaver for wheeling a girl's toy around. Beaver thinks nothing of what he's doing until he notices the unusual stares and comments he is getting from passersby. All he hopes for now is for his guy friends not to see him.- Written by Huggo
