Storyline

The Shoshone Indians are on the warpath due to a group of buffalo hunters invading their land. Billy Bright, an old mountain man, also known as squaw man to many of the Laramie locals because he lived with the Shoshones is being accosted by the buffalo hunters in a saloon forcing Marshal Troop to intercede. Although Billy Bright throws a knife at the men, Troop does not arrest him and sends him out of town. He meets with Blanket who is half Shoshone but finds that Blanket was burned out by the buffalo hunters. They leave on foot but a local reports to Troop the buffalo hunters caught Billy Bright and hung him. Blanket escaped. Troop leaves to track down the buffalo hunters trailed by the Shoshone war party lead by Chief Little Wolf. When he finds the hunters, the entire group is attacked by the Shoshones with Troop taking an arrow in the shoulder. Everyone is killed but Troop who is tended to by the Shoshones.
