Storyline

Ben Toomey reports the stage is late and the telegraph operator says the line is down. Laramie is cut off. Hale Connors appears at the Marshal's office stating he has cut the town off and wants the assets of the bank: $150,000. He gives the town an hour to comply or the stage passengers will be killed. Troop takes time to think it over and discuss it with Lily who reports her liquor shipment did not arrive. Toomey against the Marshal's wishes tells the citizens who appear at the Birdcage in an up roar. Troop asks Connors about Lily's shipment and he hesitates before saying it will be returned. Troop tells the city to go along with Connors wishes. Troop hides in the wagon with the money and confronts Connors outside of town. He wounds Connors and kills his partner. He finds signs posted stating Laramie has plague which kept travelers out of the town. Written by Anonymous
