Storyline

Blake Carr, a gunfighter, who was trained by Lance Creedy arrives in Laramie looking to claim Lance's wife, Mattie, by killing Lance. Carr tells Troop his plans while trying to locate Lance. Troop tries to dissuade Carr but when that fails Troop visits Lance and Mattie. Lance has hung up his guns under a pardon he received and is living a peaceful life. Lance promises to avoid Laramie for awhile but Mattie comes to Laramie on her own to try to stop Carr. Lance arrives ready to face Carr but Mattie's comments cause him to drop his gun belt. When Carr continues to force the issue and is about to kill Lance in cold blood, Troop is forced to act. Written by Anonymous

Quotes

Marshal Dan Troop: If men are going to fight, they'll fight. Now you check their guns, they'll think that you're afraid of them... These men aren't riff-raff. They're honest men. If you go telling them they can't be trusted, things'll get way out of hand. Maybe some day men won't have to wear guns. the way things are now, they do.
