Gloria Hobart, a saloon girl, is found dead and her expensive ring missing. She had given her notice and was planning to leave town. Zach Adams, her employer, posts a $500 reward for the discovery of Gloria's murderer. A young Albert finds himself in constant trouble, first stealing sugar and then the barber's favorite razor after receiving a free haircut. When Troop searches Albert's cabin, he finds the stolen razor but also the missing ring from the dead girl. Zach's brother-in-law Link runs down a boy in the street and is arrested for it. Dr. Stewart reports to Troop he found Albert shot and brought him to his office where he died. Troop spreads the word Albert is still alive and stakes out Albert's cabin with Johnny as Albert. The killer of Gloria and Albert shows and Troop learns that Zach was planning to run off with Gloria but events take a further turn for the worse. Written by
