Storyline

Kansas City newspaperman Luther Boardman has taken over the newspaper in Laramie hoping to relive the excitement of the wild west. He wants Troop's cooperation in getting the news but isn't happy with Dan lack of eagerness to cooperate. Mort Peters, known gunman, is in a fight in the Birdcage. Dan goes to handle it without waiting for Boardman. Peters is knocked out when he hits his head on the bar after Dan punches him. Boardman misses the clash and decides to write it up as if Troop violated Peters's rights. After Peters trial and release, Boardman goads Peters into challenging Troop. They meet in the Birdcage. Peters is blinded by Boardman's flash equipment and nicks Boardman while Troop wounds Peters. Boardman initially thinks he is mortally wounded but he has learned his lesson. Written by Anonymous

Goofs

When Dan hits Peters, he is knocked out from the punch and his head never hits the bar. When Lily is talking to the reporter she says Peters' head hit the bar. Also, the reporter says he saw a lump on the back of Peters' head. When Peters was carried past the reporter, the back of his head was against Dan's shirt, so the reporter could not have seen the back of his head. See more »
