Storyline

Troop brings in Billy Deal. He is to take him to Casper the next day on the 4:00 pm Sunday train. Billy is wanted for several murders so Dan is not surprised when someone shoots at them as they enter the office. The next day Jim Young tells Troop that Frank Boone wants to see him at church.Troop knows Boone as he caught Frank trying to commit a robbery when both were young and Dan was a deputy. Troop released Frank with his word to go straight but he never did. Billy is wanted in Montana where Frank is also wanted and has a small ranch where he wants to start life over. If he brings Billy to Montana, Frank will receive amnesty. However, Dan is unwilling to turn Billy over. At 4:00 pm Dan and Johnny walk Billy to the train. The Young boys try to take out Dan and Johnny from charging horses but are killed. It is left to Dan to face Frank. As he dies, Frank tells Dan he meant to go straight many times but never did and probably never would. Written by Anonymous
