Larry DeLong was sent to prison for three years by Troop. He returned to Laramie a reformed man. Although close to Troop and respected by his boss, he isn't interest in making friends with others resulting in people not trusting him. His reputation with a gun makes him ideal for riding shotgun on the stages. However, when he returns to Laramie with a dead driver and the story his old gang killed him, people except for Troop feel Larry is involved even though there was nothing to steal on the stage. Troop has to stop them from riding Larry out of town on a rail. The stage line representative takes a posse after the Marraday gang. Troop and Larry realize that Marraday's statement he never killed a man for nothing may have a hidden meaning. He wants a posse to chase him while the gang robs the bank. Troop and Larry are forced to face the gang alone before the posse returns.- Written by Anonymous
