Storyline

Whiskey Jimmie, who makes illegal whiskey, finds the body of Running Deer at his door with a knife in him. He moves the body to Laramie where Johnny finds the body. Marshal Troop and Johnny return the body to Chief Red Horse who decides to hold Johnny until Troop returns with the murderer, or next morning when he will put Johnny to death. Troop brings in Whiskey Jimmie based on mule tracks at the scene but he believes Whiskey Jimmie to be innocent. Whiskey Jimmie tells Troop the likely culprit is Nat Gruber who says he hates Indians but likes to chase Indian women including White Cloud who was Running Deer's wife. Gruber pushes the men in Laramie to burn out the Sioux camp. At the same White Cloud tells Chief Red Horse what happened when she learns Gruder no longer wants her. Chief Red Horse, White Cloud, and Johnny ride into Laramie where White Cloud confronts Gruber in front of the Laramie men. Written by Anonymous
