Owney, robbed of his reward money, is embarrassed when he finds it was the governor's runaway daughter. When the killer he got the money for escapes and threatens to harm her, Troop and Johnny agree to a deal they're not sure he will keep.

Storyline

Owney O'Reilly asks Dan to lock up his dog Sam because Sam scares his horse Jeremiah. After leaving, he is held up by a scared girl with a comb who he never sees. She takes his remaining $150 reward money for capturing Jack Saunders. Owney tells everyone that a 6' 8" man with a voice like Niagra Falls did it. Owney spots a girl peeking into the Birdcage and asks if he can help. She wants to ask the owner for a job singing so Owney introduces Millie to Lily. Troop investigating the robbery learns a girl used a $50 bill like the ones stolen to get a room at the hotel. He knows the Governor's daughter has run away. He convinces Lily to give Millie a tryout the next day and wires the Governor. Just before the stage arrives, Johnny leaves to take Saunders to Sherman for trial but is jumped by him as they leave town. He takes Johnny's gun and goes to the hotel where he takes Millie hostage as he know who she is. Against Troop's advice the Governor decides to let Saunders leave on Owney's ... Written by Anonymous
