Storyline

Clootey Hutter drives to Laramie late on a rainy night from her ranch 2 days north of Laramie for supplies but the store is closed. The Henry brothers Paul and Earl are in town for a good time but Earl is always asking for trouble and Paul often slides into it. Raggedy looking Clootey stops in the Birdcage for a beer and Paul decides to show Earl how to talk to a woman. Paul is drunk so Clootey tries to avoid him but is forced to toss her beer on him. Troop sends the two men to jail with Johnny who holds them until they cool down and sober up. Johnny releases them later but Paul stays to rest but Earl leaves. He confront Clootey forcing her into a duel which he loses. His gun is still in the holster leading many including Ed Cramer to believe she murdered Earl. When Troop goes to arrest her, Clootey resists so Paul tells her he feels responsible and will allow her to prove her story by fighting him. Clootey wounds him in the arm proving to all but Ed she is innocent. Written by Anonymous
