Lem Pastor wants to make sure his daughter marries the right man. When he blinds the latest one, he only drives her, the image of her mother, further away until Dan Troop has to step in to prevent a killing.

Shag Warner stumbles into Laramie after being horse whipped and blinded by Lem Pastor for showing interest in Lem's daughter Lucy who is of age. Troop takes Shag to the doctor and then goes to see Lem and Lucy. Lucy leaves the ranch during the night and goes to the Birdcage for help. She wants to see Shag. Troop tries to convince Lucy and Shag to leave town but Shag is determined to kill Lem. When Lem arrives in Laramie, Lucy takes Shag's gun to confront her father. Lucy tells him he stole her life to replace her dead mother and she is leaving making Lem accept the truth. Written by Anonymous
