Definitely original! I can honestly say I haven't ever seen a western episode quite like this. I've heard tell that in the "good ol' days," people were afraid of things they didn't understand, such as comets. I wonder how much was known back in the 1880's on such an event.
I'm not quite sure how the write came up wish such a story using peppermint candy, water, a comet, and fake money, but it was very ingenious how they did it! Of course, Sam again came out the hero...
I may have to take back what I'm about to say in a few episodes, but I believe this is a turning point in the show. I don't think we see much of Tess anymore, and I can't help but to wonder why. I wonder if she was unable to do the show, or if perhaps they wanted to concentrate more on Sam the lawman and less on Sam who has a little girl to watch after.
