Shades of Phantom of the Opera
24 December 2014 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

The SVU takes on an interesting case involving a stalker. Emily Deschanel is a concert cellist who got herself a secret admirer way back when she was in college. Raymond Bogue caught a smile thrown his way and dreamed up a secret love connection. As he is a computer technician what he then does is pretty easy. After she's attacked the squad discovers all kinds of bugging devices hidden all over her apartment hooked to a website devoted to Deschanel. The whole world can look in on Bogue's obsession.

The obsessor is also obsessed over. Bogue's landlady Jennifer Laura Thompson is crushing out big time over him, but he can't see her for beans. If he paid her some attention all three of these lives would have taken a different course.

The episode is suggested by Phantom of the Opera. But there's a nice and interesting twist in the end.
