Goofs

When Munch is reviewing the security tape from the Lamerly's penthouse, he notices a jump in time on the clock. The long hand moves from the number 8 to the number 10 and Benson replies: 'ten seconds are missing'. However, this is incorrect, because the second hand of a clock, or the long hand, denotes minutes not seconds, hence this would mean ten minutes are missing, not ten seconds as stated by Detective Benson. Quotes

Tom Paysen: [to Munch and Fin] SVU. I thought you were just the panty police, but you're right up there.
John Munch: Up where?
Tom Paysen: Dreamland. Carmen was a mixed-up kid who committed suicide. Look at the evidence, you dumb bastards.

Privileged Brat
13 January 2013 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

One of my favorite SVU episodes involves Erik Von Detten playing a spoiled rich kid who nearly gets away with murder of a Brazilian film student he was involved with. All this is with the complicity and connivance of his father John Bolger and his grandmother Michael Learned who rules the family with an iron hand.

I liked this episode because too often the rich can buy justice and get themselves out of trouble like this. They can also afford a high priced defense attorney like Mariette Hartley as Von Detten does in this story.

A former call girl who Von Detten brought for a date to his senior prom once and whom he assaulted puts the kibosh on his defense showing a pattern of bad behavior. The woman played by Sarah Wayne Callies has a lot to lose as she's now married to a wealthy former john.

Erik Von Detten who normally played good kids does a real nice job as a privileged brat that you ache to see get his.
