Peer pressure
9 February 2015 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

Through the Stabler family grapevine Christopher Meloni hears of a teen girl being raped and refusing to report it. Like they don't have enough work at SVU he goes out and brings in more business. Still his instincts are correct and there's quite a sexual cesspool that's uncovered.

My high school days are long gone, but I remember the peer pressure to be part of the in crowd. That's what Brittany Slattery feels and she equates putting out with social acceptance. A not uncommon mistake many make.

It takes awhile for Dann Florek to be convinced, but he gets on board with Meloni's instincts. The real losers here are the 'popular' kids, brother and sister Billy Kay and Sprague Grayden.

Sometimes I think if one could bottle the secret of charisma the whole social universe might go off kilter. Eventually Slattery's rapist is found and you can almost feel sorry for him.

The all consuming passion of being 'in' with the in crowd as the song goes.
