The Army uniforms worn by the major have many errors: (1) His major's leaves are silver instead of bronze (indicating Lt. Colonel not Major). (2) The clusters are in the middle of his uniform epaulets rather than on the end, where they belong, (3) He has no branch insignia (Infantry, Artillery, etc.) on his lapels. (4) He has no "U.S." insignia on his lapels. Instead, he has some unrecognizable insignia. (5) In one scene, he wears a cap without a gold officer's chinstrap and gold visor insignia that was crudely glued on. It appears to be an enlisted cap that was inexpertly converted to be an officer's cap. (6) He wears a raincoat in the same scene and with no rank insignia on his shoulders. (7) He wears some unrecognizable badge above his right uniform pocket - the Army wears such badges in the middle of the pocket, except for women's uniforms.
