A travel agency employee is found beaten into a coma at her apartment. Briscoe and Green quickly suspect a man who had been in a relationship with the victim's sister, who had been murdered a few years earlier. Strong physical and circumstantial evidence leads to what looks to be an open and shut case. However, the defendant's strong insistence of his innocence and other unusual circumstances lead the case to become more complicated than it seemed. Written by
