Storyline

Detectives Briscoe and Green investigate the shooting death of Anna Hopkins, the apparent victim of a carjacking. Several witnesses saw a man pull her from her SUV and have three of them picked the carjacker out of a line up, so the case is open and shut. The real problem is the container of medical waste they find in the SUV containing the SARS virus. The dead woman was a lab tech in a university research project and the project director, Dr. Charles Blanchard, suggests she may have been a terrorist. When a woman and her son are diagnosed SARS, the police soon learn however that Blanchard and the woman, Jeanine Wilson, had been having an affair. She's convinced that Blanchard tried to kill her and he's charged with murder. Doubt arises when it turns out Jeanine had been to Blanchard's lab just a few weeks before she fell ill.
