An elderly man is found dead, the day after his wedding to his new, younger wife. Briscoe and Green arrive because, the man's son wants an autopsy to be done while the wife doesn't. Serena is brought in and has to convince a judge to let them do an autopsy. But because the wife doesn't want it, the judge is inclined to lean in that direction. But Serena finds a loophole which allows them to let them do an autopsy. And the autopsy reveals the man was killed; he was smothered. And since the wife was the one who didn't want the autopsy to be done, they look at her. But they learn she stood to gain nothing. So they look at his children. They learn that the son who's running the family's business which is caviar, into the ground. But they later find evidence that leads them to the man's daughter. They learn that the father mistreated the daughter and was asking her to leave his home. They try to prosecute her but some of their evidence was privileged so they have to find other evidence.
