- A.D.A. Jamie Ross: Who would you ask if you needed a hitman?
- Detective Rey Curtis: [jokingly referring to Briscoe] I'd find an old cop, preferably one with a lot of alimony.
- Eric Hoffman: [referring to his co-op application] I was turned down because I run this establishment. Only ten adult bookstores left in Times Square, and I'm the only owner born in this country.
- Detective Lennie Briscoe: Well I hate to burst your red white and blue bubble, Mr Hoffman, but you were turned down because you lied on your application.
- Eric Hoffman: I told them I was in the entertainment business. You see these videos? That's entertainment!
- Detective Lennie Briscoe: You know I don't see "Hello, Dolly!" up there.
- Car dealer: [to Briscoe, sitting in a Mercedes convertible in his showroom] Well, how does it feel?
- Detective Lennie Briscoe: Like I can't afford it.
- Car dealer: [referring to the Mercedes convertible] What would it take to get you into this car, Detective?
- Detective Lennie Briscoe: Next week's lotto numbers.
- A.D.A. Jamie Ross: You knew all along Tashjian killed Kaiser, didn't you?
- [pause]
- A.D.A. Jamie Ross: Don't worry: I'm not going to run to the Ethics Committee.
- Jack McCoy: I didn't know with absolute certainty. One way or another, I had to get Tashjian on the stand.
- A.D.A. Jamie Ross: Well, hats off!
- Jack McCoy: Sometimes you have to make deals with the devil.
- A.D.A. Jamie Ross: Just as long as you don't get your eyebrows singed.
- Jack McCoy: Anyway, Tashjian owed somebody half a million dollars. I'm sure they'll be around to collect it one of these days.
- A.D.A. Jamie Ross: And as for the Ethics Committee, you owe me one!
- [Ross leaves. McCoy snickers. Cut to intertitle: "Sam 'Bunny' Russo is currently serving a sentence of life without parole. Three months after testifying against Russo, Steven Tashjian was gunned down outside his office. The killers remain at large. His assets, including his co-op, were liquidated to settle his debts".
