My Favorite Post Shirley Episode

Some real good laughs in this show. Nice job my Michael McKean directing this one. Kudos to Carrie Fisher on a nice job as a foil for Laverne.

Nice to see the Cameo with Hugh Hefner.

IMHO the funniest episode after Cindy Williams was no longer on the show.

Highly recommended.

Carrie Fisher

Definitely the best episode (without Shirley) of season 8. Of course, no one can replace Shirley, however Carrie's chemistry with Penny works well and knowing they're besties in real life, she would've made a great replacement. I wish she could've been a regular. I enjoy this episode. Michael Mckean directed.

Rhonda asks Laverne to pick up a job application...

Warning: Spoilers
....and lo and behold Laverne gets the job offer. There were only a few episodes of Laverne & Shirley that were real entertaining after Cindy Williams departed after the 2nd episode. This is one of those episodes. Really the show couldn't have possibly gone on much longer even with Cindy. Sometimes you can only take a show so far before exhausting many of the possibilities for a creative new episode.

Penny had quite a few friends on speed dial for Season 8. Jim Belushi was in an episode. This time it was Carrie Fisher. She turned out to be an excellent foil for Laverne. Not to mention she looked fabulous in a "bunny suit".

No real spoilers her but this is a very good episode.

Carrie Fisher wearing a Green Playboy Bunny Suit! Warning: Spoilers
I never watched Laverne & Shirley when it originally aired. I caught this episode years later when I saw a preview and saw my first crush "Princess Leia" in a bunny outift. I fell for her when I first saw Star Wars, then Empire and finally Jedi and the Gold Bikini! Back to the episode. Carrie makes a guest spot as "Cathy", a girl who meets Laverne when she is trying out to be a bunny. There are some funny scenes with Squiggy who is playing the part of a difficult customer who comes on to the ladies in the audition. Then we get to the best part, Laverne and Cathy wearing the bunny suits are trying out for Hugh Hefner. I must admit Laverne was very funny here. I could not takes my eyes off of Cathy(Carrie Fisher). She never looked prettier than in that green bunny outfit. Very sexy. There are a couple shots of her backside that made it past the censors. Anyway Cathy sings a song at the end and gets to be the bunny. Bravo episode that is very funny and unforgettable because of the beautiful Carrie Fisher looking incredible in her bunny outfit! 10 out of 10!

Carrie Fisher Substitutes for Cindy Williams and Waits Tables Too!
chauge-7325330 January 2019
Laverne is tired of working at Cowboy Bills. When Rhonda considers a backup job at the Playboy Club as a Bunny, Laverne decides to apply. Carrie Fisher plays another applicant (Fisher must have had some time on her hands between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). Hugh Hefner makes a cameo as, of course, himself. He is given the task of choosing between the two for the last spot on the staff. Considering Cindy Williams was gone, Fisher would have made an excellent stand-in. It definitely would have made the last season more bearable to watch. Fisher proves to be a fine singer as well (sort of expected considering who her parents were). Marshall delivers the best line of the episode when Hefner asks for a Pepsi to drink, "Would you like some milk with that?"

Laverne's a Playboy Bunny
I was dreading this one thinking it would be dumb, but I liked it. Carrie Fisher was really cute and I think she would've made a good regular and new best friend/roommate for Laverne. Was nice to see Hugh Hefner too.
