Interesting take on what's feminine and what's not at the time. Laverne is right at the end both girls are terrific just the way they are. Early Jay Leno playing a jock who thinks women should be girly, damsels in distress. Why not both? Laverne loves to dress up and play ball at the same time. Shirley is girly but she can her hands dirty if she wants. Joey, shut up.
I remember the scene where all three of them put their spoon down, Joey tossed it and it fell on the floor, I wonder if it was a blooper cause the look on Jay's face.
