Carmine, The Comedian

You know if only PC folks could see themselves and realize they are too sensitive and can't laugh at themselves. Which is the point Rhonda makes to the gang when Carmine pokes fun at someone else they laugh but not when he comes after them.

Warning: Spoilers
Oh this one was painful to sit through. Carmine thinks he can do stand up comedy and tells the worst jokes ever. He's really bad and even when he's supposed to be funny by ripping on his friends in the audience, those jokes fall flat too. They're all just really really bad jokes!

There's one joke that I actually gasped at because it was so mean. He says the game Old Maid was named after Laverne and Shirley. I thought that was going beyond funny to just being hurtful.

And the girls are only in their mid 20's. That's not old maids even for the 1960's.... Maybe if they were mid 30's the joke would work, but not at the ages they are. Also, Carmine is the same age as them and still single too. So if they're old maids, then he's an old....butler! (I think that's the opposite of maid).

In any case, he went too far with that line but in the end Laverne says she can laugh at it so all's well. In fact with Rhonda's help, the whole gang realized they can laugh at themselves when they're being made fun of.

I found it to be another dud episode and to make it even worse, we're treated to a few minutes of filler at the end where Carmine sings "I Left My Heart in San Francisco". Stick to dancing Carmine!
