Barry on the pull
17 January 2017 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This was Bill Owen's final appearance in the show. In fact you see him disappear for a segment of the episode only to appear at the end calling out for Nora Batty.

Comedian Bobby Knutt is the guest star. He and his spiritualist wife are going across the dales in a Morris Minor looking out for a sign and there car gets stranded. His wife's spirit takes a shine to Barry who Glenda has forced to spend more time with Wesley. Trouble is Barry does not know what to say to his father in law and Wesley is unsure of a man with clean clothes.

It might be the first time I have seen Auntie Wainwright at the cafe as she is on doctor's orders to splurge out a bit and she requests Ivy's most expensive cake.
