Dancing Feet

Don Henderson plays the shopkeeper Charlie at the local Coop store. He is not happy that Nora and Ivy are prodding his fruit and veg to see how firm it is.

When Compo turns up, he does not mind if Nora checks if he is firm enough.

I thik Roy Clarke missed a trick. Henderson could had played a Granville like shopkeeper from his other show Open All Hours.

When Compo complains of hard skin because of pushing Wesley's car. Charlie could had sold him a lotion to soften his skin with added aphrodisiac qualities. Useful if a Nora Batty is around.

Instead Charlie sends him to Old Betsy, the local healer and presumed witch. They are all afraid to go and visit her. Compo's feet turn to jelly just thinking about it but he wants to attend the church social.

I did think Don Henderson was wasted as a guest star. The funniest part was at the beginning, the trio are tired of pushing Wesley's car. They decided to get a tow from a tractor. instead. A claptrap idea.
