Big Ed is angry. Delinda has been drugged and very nearly raped by a guest who is in town for Groundhog Summer, the last days of the pool being open before the winter. The sci-fi convention is also in town, complicating matters. Ed being who he is (a former CIA operative of some repute), he elects to take care of the situation himself, without involving LVPD, which puts him somewhat at odds with Danny, who favours a more traditional method of investigating an attack like this: via the police. Of course, Ed isn't having any of that. It's justice, Las Vegas-style/Ed Deline-style.
A powerful episode because one of the Montecito's own has been put in harm's way. We get our first real taste of how angry and driven Ed can be when his daughter is in trouble. The MIT subplot was very funny (and those guys paid their penance, in a way), as was the guy asleep at the pool.
